Do you need a code to get in?

Yes. The gate opens with a keypad code issued only after you register your dog as licensed and vaccinated, and processing runs about two weeks. The touchpad itself is finicky in cold weather.

Are small and large dogs separated?

Yes. There are separate large- and small-breed enclosures, both of them large and grassy, so a small dog doesn't have to hold its own in the big group.

Is there water on site?

There are drinking fountains, in use during the warm months. No pond or wading area, so dogs go home dry.

Does it get muddy?

Less than most parks in the area. Grass coverage on both sides is the detail reviewers single out, specifically the absence of the mud and gravel found at other Monroe County parks.
