Wasatch Hollow Preserve
Open grass for fetch, with a quiet east-side feel
About this park
An east-side neighborhood park with a large unfenced off-leash grass area, a kids' playground, and pavilions, sitting alongside an Emigration Creek nature preserve where dogs are explicitly not allowed. The off-leash side is open enough to make a good fetch park for dogs that stay close. Trails through the preserve close periodically during spring runoff.

What visitors say
Synthesized from 285 Google reviewsReviewers describe a quiet, secluded feel only a few minutes from central SLC, with enough open grass to play real fetch. The creek-side preserve next door is a draw on its own, even if the dog has to wait at the gate.
A neighborhood-paced east-side crowd, with the playground and pavilions making it a regular family-and-dog spot.
Best for
Before you go
Dogs are not allowed inside the nature preserve itself, so stick to the off-leash grass area outside the preserve boundary. The walking trails close during spring runoff when the creek floods.
