Gabriel Park's off-leash area shifts between a grassy summer zone near the community center and a wooded, hilly dirt area in winter. The winter section is tricky to find (no directional signs, up a decent hill from the SE parking area). The park is spacious and fenced, and frequent visitors love its size and laid-back SW Portland energy, though expect mud and no on-site water during the winter season.

Before you go
In winter, park near the barn-like structure on the SE side of the park to get closest to the off-leash area; the main lot is far and poorly signed. Bring your own water jug. No water supply exists in the winter section.
