Fossil Creek Dog Park
Spacious mulch-covered off-leash area with a water pump and shy-dog section
About this park
Fossil Creek Dog Park is a large fenced off-leash area on the south end of Fort Collins, surfaced with wood chip mulch and rimmed by low benches and a small pavilion. A hand pump provides water on-site, and a separate smaller enclosure gives shy or small dogs a lower-intensity option. Restrooms are available in the adjacent Fossil Creek Community Park.
Amenities
Fossil Creek Dog Park reviews
What visitors consistently sayReviewers call it spacious and well-maintained, with well-behaved dogs as the norm. The mulch surface stays reasonably dry after rain, and the views toward open space make the walk feel bigger than the fenced area itself.
A steady cast of regulars shows up most evenings and some mornings. Most dogs trend medium to large, and the vibe runs calm for an active park.
Best for
Before you go
The park gets noticeably less shade than most Fort Collins options. Bring your own water for hot days even though a pump is on-site. Regulars tend to gather in the evenings on weekdays.
