About this park

A 57-acre wooded preserve on the west side built around First Sister Lake and Second Sister Lake, the only two naturally formed lakes inside Ann Arbor city limits. A narrow footpath winds the perimeter through woods and lily-pad shoreline, with no restrooms or benches and dogs leashed throughout.

The highlights

Reviewers love the rare quiet of two natural lakes and the wildflower bloom in spring. Light foot traffic and the lake views make this a regular running route for west-side locals.

Before you go

Bring bug spray and check for ticks after the visit; the path is narrow and brushes through tall growth in summer. The trail runs through a residential edge, so keep dogs leashed and out of yards.
